Forklift safety cages for short work at height
A safety cage is a platform on the forks that lifts a person for an occasional, short task. Sites also call them a man cage, a man basket or a forklift working platform.
Supplied from Nelspruit across South Africa, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola and Tanzania.
- For occasional access, not a substitute for a full-time work platform
- Built as a guarded platform on the forklift
- Supplied for the trucks already running on site

Before you put a person in it
Tell sales the forklift capacity, the working height and how often the cage will be used. A cage is for short tasks. If the job is daily work at height, ask for a recommendation rather than forcing a cage onto the wrong truck.
Questions buyers ask
Is a forklift safety cage the same as a man basket?
Yes. Eteq lists these platforms as a man cage, a man basket or a forklift working platform. They lift someone for an occasional, short-duration task.
